Welcome to Spool Studios! By using our website or accepting a manual custom quote, you agree to the following terms:
1. Custom Orders & Turnaround Time
- Nature of 3D Printing: You understand that 3D-printed items are created in layers. Visible layer lines, minor surface textures, and slight imperfections are a normal part of the manufacturing process and are not considered defects.
- Printing Timeline: Individual prints can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours to complete. We typically aim to have your entire order finished within 48 hours of receiving payment, though larger or highly complex custom orders may require additional time.
- Custom Filament: If a custom filament color or type is requested for a quote, the customer is responsible for covering the upfront cost of that specific material.
2. Intellectual Property & File Submissions
- By submitting a file to Spool Studios, you represent and warrant that you own or have the legal right/commercial license to reproduce the design. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spool Studios from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from copyright, trademark, patent, or intellectual property violations resulting from your submission.
3. Payments
- All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
- For custom quotes, printing will not begin until the invoice is paid in full.
4. Local Pickup & Abandoned Orders
- Pickup Coordination: Because we do not have a permanent public storefront, local pickups must be mutually agreed upon. We will contact you via email to coordinate a safe, public location and a time to meet simultaneously.
- Abandoned Orders: If your order is complete and you do not respond to our emails to coordinate a pickup time within 3 weeks (21 days), your order will be considered abandoned and may be recycled or disposed of without a refund.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
- Because custom prints are made-to-order specifically for you, all sales are final. Refunds or returns are not accepted unless the item arrives functionally broken or completely incorrect.
